Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend Z.Safarov / Altay Hasanov, the Vice President of the Azerbaijani Gymnastics Federation, stated that Demitrious Dimitropulos, the head of the Europe Union of Gymnastics (UEG), came up with the initiative to frequently hold the European Championships in Baku and now it is necessary to discuss this in detail. He was commenting on the possibility of the further organization of prestigious tournaments in Azerbaijan.
Hasanov noted that both sides intend organizing large tournaments in Baku, but it is necessary to make them official. "UEG has no doubt that tournaments in Azerbaijan will be held at the highest level, as we have proved numerously. Therefore, the organization of the championships in Baku serves as guarantee to the European Union for tournaments conducted at a high level," Hasanov stressed.
