Alizadeh / The date for the trial of the Rizvan Talybov, the Chairman of the Union for Deportation to West Azerbaijan, the head of the Committee on Protection of Rights of Azerbaijani Ex-Minister for Health, Ali Insanov, will be confirmed next week, Talybov's attorney, Telman Novruzzadeh, reported in Baku on 26 July.
Novruzzadeh noted that the investigation regarding his client had already been completed. The Investigation Group submitted the case to the Republican Prosecutor's Office. Under the legislation, a prosecutor should either confirm the case or have a re-investigation done within five days. The term expires on 27 July. After the case is approved, the date for the trial will be fixed," Novruzzadeh added.
Talybov is charged with contravening Article 221.2.2 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan Republic. He is presently held in the preliminary detention cell of the Shuvalan settlement.
