Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr Z. Safarov / The International Amateur Boxing Association (AIBA) has no need to change its judging system, the President of the Azerbaijani National Boxing Federation, Aghajan Abiyev, stated while commenting on the proposal of the AIBA's Commission on Reforms to change the scheme of arbiters' work.
He stressed that boxing is prospering with the application of technology and computers, which was proven by the head of the International Olympic Committee, Jacques Rogge, who holds this kind of sport as an example. "During the recent sixty years, the AIBA has been working for purity, security, and objectivity in boxing and has achieved definite progress in this connection."
Naturally, the current head of the organization, Ching Kuo-Vu also wants to improve this sport, but the present judging scheme is the best," Abiyev stressed.
