Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr E. Huseynli / The Azerbaijan National Radio and Television Council (NRTC) issued year-long licenses to Svoboda and Voice of America radio stations. They will be broadcasted via local radio waves. The decision in this connection was made at the meeting of the NRTC, a source at the NRTC reported to Trend on 7 September.
There are three foreign radio stations operating in Azerbaijan. In former times, the foreign BBC radio station had a license and was broadcasted via local waves.
Janub TV LLC received a six-year license for broadcasting in Azerbaijan's Lankaran region.
