Industrial production in Azerbaijan increased by 1.1 percent from January through July 2021 compared to the same period of 2020, amounting to 27.5 billion manat, Trend reports citing the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan.
“At the same time, the growth of production in the non-oil sector in the reporting period amounted to 16.4 percent. The oil sector recorded a decline of 1.6 percent,” the committee said.
“In the overall structure of industrial production from January through July of this year, 62.7 percent fell on the extractive industry, 31.3 percent - on the processing industry, 5.1 percent - on the production and distribution of electricity, gas and steam, 0.9 percent - on the sphere water supply, cleaning and waste processing,” the report said.
“In the mining sector, oil production decreased by 2.3 percent, while gas production increased by 11.1 percent,” the ministry said.
In the field of production and distribution of electricity, gas and steam, the growth was 2.6 percent, and in the field of water supply, waste treatment and processing - 10.7 percent.
In 2020, the volume of industrial production in Azerbaijan amounted to 37 billion manat, which is 5 percent less compared to 2019.
