The total payments of 10 leading insurance companies (ICs) of Azerbaijan amounted to 436.7 million manat ($257 million) in 2021 (95.2 percent of the total insurance payments), the Azerbaijan Insurers Association (AIA) told Trend.
At the end of 2021, the ranking of insurance payments was headed by PASHA Life, which accounted for 33 percent of the overall insurance payments of all companies. In 2021, the company made payments for 204.9 million manat ($120.59 million).
The second position in the ranking was occupied by PASHA Insurance with 75 million manat ($44.1 million), which equaled 19.4 percent of all payments.
AzerInsurance ranked third with payments of 59.7 million manat or $35.1 million (7.2 percent).
Payments of all Azerbaijan's insurance companies reached 458.7 million manat ($269.9 million) in 2021 (a decrease by 1.4 percent over the year).
The results of the activities of insurance companies for 2021 have been released by the Association of Insurers of Azerbaijan.
