BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 12. The average monthly nominal salary of employees in Azerbaijan increased by 14.2 percent from January through June 2022 compared to the same period the previous year and amounted to 827 manat ($486), Trend reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee.
The average monthly nominal salary of employees in the oil and gas sector amounted to 3,535 manat ($2,079), in the non–oil sector – 775 manat ($455), at state-owned enterprises - 774 manat ($455), in private enterprises - 886 manat ($521).
At the same time, the highest wages are recorded among workers in the mining sector, in the field of insurance and finance, in the field of information and communications, as well as in scientific and technical activities.
