BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 4. The number of companies with Russian capital grew in Türkiye from January through September 2022, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) told TurkicWorld, Trend reports.
According to the TOBB, this figure amounted to 864, up by 723 companies on annual basis.
Along with the number of registered Russian companies, their total capital also grew in the first nine months of this year, the TOBB said.
In the reporting period, the total capital of registered Russian companies in Türkiye amounted to 367.9 million Turkish liras ($19.7 million) versus 57.9 million Turkish liras ($3.11 million) in the same period of 2021.
Meanwhile, most of the Russian companies (603) with a total capital of over 137.1 million Turkish liras ($7.3 million) were registered in Istanbul from January through September 2022.
Out of the total number of Russian companies registered from January through September 2022,62 companies were involved in export, 488 - in wholesale and retail trade, and the remaining companies operated in other sectors of the Turkish economy, added TOBB.
