BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 9. The Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications of Azerbaijan has revealed the leading exporter of non-oil products among the state companies countrywide from January through August 2023, Trend reports.
AzerEnergy OJSC became the biggest exporter, with non-oil goods worth $314.4 million, which is 8.8 times more year-on-year.
Marketing and Operations Department of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) ranked second with the volume of $246.2 million from January through August 2023, down by 36.8 percent compared to the same period in 2022 ($389.4 million).
Meanwhile, Socar Polymer LLC ranked third with an export volume of $207.3 million, which is 1.6 times higher than in the first eight months of last year ($125.7 million).
The full list of non-oil exporters by value (from Jan. through Aug. 2023):
1. AzerEnergy OJSC - $314.4 million

4. Azeraluminium LLC - $86.3 million (a decrease of 12.7 percent)
5. AzerGold CJSC - $50.1 million (a decrease of 21.2 times)
6. Azercotton LLC Agrarian-Industrial Complex - $16.6 million (a decrease of 67.1 times)
7. Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC - $16.5 million (an increase of 3.4 times)
8. Azerbaijani Railways CJSC - $1.2 million (an increase of two times)
9. AzerSilk LLC - $1.1 million (a decrease of 15.4 percent)
10. State Energy Service of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic - $600,000.
The total export value of Azerbaijan's non-oil sector amounted to $203.6 million in August 2023, which is 10 percent less than the same period in 2022 ($226.2 million).
Besides, the total value of non-oil products exported by 10 state-owned companies amounted to $1.18 billion in Azerbaijan in 2022, which is $56.2 million, or 4.98 percent higher than in the same period of 2021.
