BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 17. Azerbaijan imported 1,074 tons of milk and cream in January 2024, Trend reports via the country's State Customs Committee.
The cost of imports amounted to 1.65 million manat ($970,000).
Thus, import volume of the above products grew by 149 tons (16.1 percent), and the total value decreased by $576,000 (25.8 percent) compared to January last year.
Expenditures on imports of milk and cream last month amounted to 0.1 percent of Azerbaijan's total import expenses.
To note, Azerbaijan's total imports in January 2024 decreased year-on-year by $270.5 million, or 19.15 percent, from $1.4 billion to about $1.1 billion.
