BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 26. TotalEnergies expects hydrocarbon production to surpass 2.4 Mboe/d in 1Q2024, Trend reports.

According to the company, this will be possible thanks to the launch of Mero 2 in Brazil and the successful disposal of Canadian upstream assets in the fourth quarter of 2023.

Looking ahead to the entire year of 2024, TotalEnergies foresees a 2-percent growth in hydrocarbon production compared to 2023, excluding Canada. As the company explains, this increase will be driven by the initiation of several key projects, including Tyra in Denmark and Anchor in the US.

Furthermore, TotalEnergies anticipates the refining utilization rate for the full year of 2024 to climb above 85 percent, with no major turnarounds planned.

Meanwhile, TotalEnergies' hydrocarbon production for 2023 amounted to 2.483 kboe/d - down by 10 percent year-on-year (2.765 kboe/d in 2022). TotalEnergies' hydrocarbon production in 4Q2023 averaged 2.462 kboe/d. This marked a decline of 12 percent, compared to 2.812 kboe/d in 4Q2022.
