BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 15. Financial flow to Azerbaijan notably increased in the first quarter of 2024, Trend reports.
This figure reached 24.7 billion manat ($14.5 billion), up 12.7 percent (or 2.78 billion manat or $1.6 billion) from the same period last year.
The data from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) showed that 31.3 percent of incoming payments accounted for public administration and defense, 13 percent - construction, and 14 percent - wholesale and retail trade.
A significant increase in revenues was recorded in the areas of public administration and defense (882.1 million manat or $518.88 million) and professional scientific and technical activities (471.8 million manat or $277.5 million).
To note, in 2023, the financial flow to Azerbaijan reached 43.3 billion manat ($25.47 billion), thus growing by 12.4 percent (4.8 billion manat or $2.8 billion) from 2022.
