ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, October 2. Specialists from the Japanese Ministry of Finance have shared their experience of introducing the institution of authorized economic operators (AEO) during an online training at the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan, Trend reports via the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.

During the training, Japanese experts provided a detailed explanation of the principles of the AEO system, which aims to ensure the security of supply chains and reduce barriers in international trade.

The event participants discussed the prospects for potential cooperation between Turkmenistan and Japan regarding the AEO system.

The Japanese side expressed its willingness to continue sharing expertise in other aspects of customs administration, opening new avenues for interaction between the two countries.

To note, the institution of the authorized economic operator is an internationally recognized standard for partnership programs, and AEOs represent a category of participants who are granted simplified customs procedures and controls when complying with established requirements.
