TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, November 13. Uzbekistan and the Czech Republic intend to develop a roadmap for increasing trade turnover and industrial cooperation programs with specific projects, Trend reports.

The topic of this project was discussed on the sidelines of the UN Climate Conference in the city of Baku, where the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, met with the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, Petr Fiala.

They discussed current issues regarding the further development of Uzbek-Czech relations and the deepening of practical cooperation in priority areas.

The Czech Republic has traditionally been an important European partner for Uzbekistan. In recent years, the volume of mutual trade has doubled, and the number of joint ventures and projects has tripled.

Special attention was given to expanding cultural and humanitarian exchanges.

To note, the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), which will run until November 22, opened on November 11 at the Baku Olympic Stadium. A total of 67,000 people have registered to participate in COP29.
