Ninety Turkish construction companies were registered in the country in 2019, which is 7.6 percent more compared to 2018, Trend reports on Jan. 31 referring to the Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB).
Last year, 40 companies rendering consulting services were registered in Turkey, which is 3.40 percent more compared to 2018, and 61 IT companies were registered in Turkey in 2019, which is 5.2 percent more compared to 2018.
According to the Union, 18 hotels were registered in Turkey in 2019, which is 1.5 percent more compared to 2018.
The biggest number of closed companies in Turkey accounted for the energy sector in 2019. In 2019, 358 energy companies closed in Turkey, which is over 14 percent more than in 2018.
In 2019, 257 construction companies closed in 2019, which is over 10 percent more compared to 2018.
As reported, 120 bank branches opened in Turkey, while 323 branches closed from January through December 2019.
