Construction of Uzbekistan's largest cement plant continues

Ahangaranzement plant of Uzbekistan (part of Russia's Eurocement Group Holding) has completed installation of the rotary kiln body of the plant - a key link in the new high-tech production line, Trend reports with reference to Uzbek media.

The capacity of the equipment will allow the new plant to produce three million tons per year of high-quality cement for construction projects of any complexity, the message said.

Construction of the new cement plant is actively continuing under a special regime associated with countering the spread of coronavirus infection. A complex of measures to minimize the risks of disease spread is carried out, all necessary preventive measures are taken.

The project is being implemented within the framework of the memorandum of cooperation and agreement on construction of an industrial cluster of construction materials between Eurocement Group and Ozsanoatqurilishmateriallari association of Uzbekistan, signed in the presence of the heads of state and prime ministers of Russia and Uzbekistan in 2017. Investments in the project implementation amount to $200 million.

The new cement plant will be the largest in Central Asia in terms of productivity, and the quality of main technological equipment. The plant's products will meet the demand for basic building materials for housing and infrastructure construction projects.

Ozsanoatqurilishmateriallari, the Association of building materials' industry enterprises of Uzbekistan, provides construction companies of Uzbekistan with all types of building materials: cement, lime, gypsum, wall, roofing, finishing, decorative, waterproofing and heat-insulating materials.
