Turkmenistan's Dashoguz building first private complex for agricultural storage

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 27

Construction of the first private complex for the simultaneous storage of 30 tons of agricultural goods and food products has begun in the Dashoguz region of Turkmenistan, Trend reports with reference to “Zolotoy Vek” (Golden age) newspaper.

The total area of the complex will be 0.7 hectares. The complex will create conditions for long-term storage of food products.

Thus, 2 warehouses and administrative premises, as well as technical facilities are planned to be built in the complex.

As reported, the country plans to build refrigerators for the storage and processing of agricultural products.

The agricultural sector of Turkmenistan saw a 13.2-percent increase in production from January through July 2020, compared to the same period last year.

Reportedly, agriculture in Turkmenistan is developing rapidly. It is one of the most important sectors of the country's economy. The main types of crops grown on the territory of Turkmenistan are wheat, cotton, rice, sugar beet, fodder, vegetable and fruits
