Exhibition is more Informative, Rather than a Business Area: Vice President of Akkord Construction Company

Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend V.Sharifov /The Baku international construction exhibition BakuBuild-2007, which began in Baku on 2 October is very rich, Elkhan Usubov, the Vice President of the biggest Azerbaijani construction company Akkord said.

Attending BakuBuild-2007 are over 200 companies from 26 countries. Over 50% of all expositions are by Azerbaijani companies. For the first time companies from Slovakia and Latvia are also participating in the exhibition.

"Exhibitions are a way to search for potential partners and presentation of your own company. The exhibition can help people to communicate," the Akkord Vice President said.

BakuBuild-2007 being held at the Heydar Aliyev Sports and Concert Complex will last until 5 October.

"New technologies are attracted to the economy sector, in particular, in production. Taking into consideration that currently Akkord acquires almost 60% of all products manufactured at its enterprises, it is very important for us," Usubov stressed.

Every year Baku hosts some 20 international exhibitions from different sectors. The biggest of them are the Caspian Oil and Gas Show, BakuBuild and BakuTel.

"It is impossible to say that the company could expand its clientele, find buyers or sellers at the exhibitions. The exhibitions are more informative than business areas," Usubov said.

According to the Akkord Vice President, a number of exhibitions are held in the post Soviet area. Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Russia are huge organizer-countries of such events.
