A.Badalova / The Azerbaijani State Caspian Shipping Company intends to obtain a license on passage for 27 vessels through internal waters of Russia, Aydin Bashirov, the head of the company, said on 16 November. The passages are planning to use for KASPAR vessels going from the Black Sea to Caspian Sea.
Today only one vessel has license to go from Caspian Sea and back to the Black. It is necessary to inject changes in the Russian low acts in order to resolve the problem.
In 2007 the company obtained 28 licenses from Russia. However, in spite of the licenses Azerbaijan hoped to sign long-term agreement for passage via internal waters of Russia..
