Belarus Interested in Foodstuff Import from Azerbaijan: Belarus Deputy Minister
Azerbaijan, Baku, 11 January / corr Trend A.Badalova / A major issue in the Azerbaijani-Belorussian business-forum is the supply of foodstuff to Azerbaijan, Nadezhda Kotkovetz, the Belarusian First Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister, said in talks with journalists in Baku on 11 January.
"However, successful business and serious trade and economic relations cannot be established without proper consideration of this issue," she said.
Along with a supply of foodstuff there are plans to carry out work on cattle breeding, the delivery of agriculture equipment as well as manufacturing of agricultural machinery..
Kotkovetz called on the Azerbaijani businessmen to work in the territory of Belarus to import different types of foodstuff from this country. " Belarus is an importer of early season vegetables, exotic fruits and juices. Necessary intergovernmental agreements on cooperation of the two countries have been signed in this regard," she added.
Fifteen companies from Belarus and 30 companies from Azerbaijan are participating in the Azerbaijani-Belarusian business-forum.
