Khalilova / In 2007, the Azerbaijani State Securities Committee attached to the Azerbaijani Presidential Administration revealed six violations in the organization of promotional lotteries, the head of the State Statistics Committee Gunduz Mammadov said on 22 January. Fines applied to the violators totalled AZN 1,265.
Last year, a total of 28 promotional lotteries were held in the country. Nine of them were for banking services, six - consumer goods, four - foodstuffs, two - alcoholic drinks, two - communication services, two - hygiene goods, one - insurance services, one - transport services, and one - automobiles.
According to Mammadov, state management in the lottery market has increased in recent years, and there are fewer violations in this field.
