( worldcarfans.ru ) - The Mazda 5 came onto the compact multi-activity vehicle scene back in 2005 and has quickly captured an audience with over 275,000 units produced. This year marks the C-MAV's midcycle refreshment with new exterior and interior design cues, revised engines and an automatic transmission.

The front bumper and rear bumper design has been refreshed, just like the front and rear light, the front now features a more prominent Mazda grille design, there are 7 new colours on offer, Mazda also re-designed the 16 and 17 inch alloy wheels and a new Sports Appearance Package has been added to the options list.

Inside there are two new black trim packages available with either titanium-look or black center panel, while a new black leather upholstery is also available as an option starting this year. The praised Karakuri seating and storing system remains as do the sliding doors.

The MZR 2.0 liter engine has been thoroughly revised and now produces 146 hp (107 kW) at 6,500 rpm with 185 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm, 500 rpm lower than the pre-revised version. The new MZR 2.0 liter petrol engine can now be coupled to a five-speed automatic transmission.

Alongside the MZR 2.0 liter engine is the MZR 1.8 liter version producing 115 hp, the MZR-CD 2.0 liter diesel with 110 hp and a High-Power version MZR-CD 2.0 liter diesel with 143 hp.
