Azerbaijan, Baku, 13 March / Trend corr A. Badalova/ Azerbaijan and Italy are going to discuss cooperation in the field of food and construction industry, the managing director of the Ital Caspian, the international marketing agency, Massimo Cuqusi said on 12 March.
On 12 March, the Italian delegation- uniting 15 entrepreneurs engaged in large-scale and small-scale food and construction business arrived in Azerbaijan for 3-day visit.
According to Cuqusi, purpose of the visit is search of partners for further cooperation.
" Azerbaijan has a great potential in the agricultural industry. But the main part of Azerbaijan's products is intended for domestic consumers and is not exported due to its non-compliance with the international standards. Therefore, modernization in this field is a priority for Azerbaijan," he said.
Ital Caspian, a consortium of Italian companies, was established in 2007 to support business relations between Italy and Azerbaijan. The consortium will take an active part in the construction field, as well as environment protection services. The investment portfolio f the consortium is expected to comprise €100mln in 2-3 years.
The consortium is open so that any one can become its partner, Cuqusi said.
