Azerbaijan, Baku, 3 April / Trend corr S. Aliyev/ The Ganja automobile producing plant is negotiating with the Minsk tractor manufacturing plant on establishment of a joint venture (JV) in Azerbaijan on assembling of tractors and their further export to the countries in the region, the head of the Ganja Automobile Plant Khanlar Fatiyev said on 3 April.
The new JV is supposed to produce 8,000 tractors per year.
At present, the Ganja plant produces six tractor modifications, with the cost varying between AZN 13,000 and AZN 35,000. At the end of November 2006, the contract on assembling and sale in Azerbaijan of all the varieties of trucks and cars of Minsk automobile plant and Minsk tractor plant was signed in Minsk.
15,000 sq m of the territory is occupied for the assembling purpose. The Ganja plant is capable of assembling 1,000 trucks and 2,000 tractors per year.
