State Standardization Agency Closes down Several Businesses in South of Azerbaijan
Azerbaijan, Baku, Lankaran, 16 May / corr. TrendCapotal S. Babayeva, P. Aliyeva/ The State Agency on Standardization, Metrology and Patent has closed down six companies in Lankaran region of Azerbaijan, Namig Karimov, the Head of the regional branch of the Agency said.
According to Karimov, the check-ups that began in May have revealed the shortcomings in the work of the companies and as a result, three factory shops, one concrete producing plant and two mineral waters has been closed down in Lankaran.
The companies will be restored after the shortcomings are eliminated.
The State Agency on Standardization, Metrology and Patent of Azerbaijan has been established by the presidential decree of December 2001. Agency is a central body exercising government's policy in standardization, metrology, certification and protection of industrial properties.
