Azerbaijan, Baku, 10 November / Trend , corr. U.Ismayilova /The inflation rate in Azerbaijan from January to October 2008, amounted to 27.02%, the Center for Economic Studies NGO reported on 10 November. The growth rate of consumer price index accounted for 18.85% as for the January-April.
In , the consumer prices index in Azerbaijan amounted to 1.22%, in Baku - 0.42% and in regions - 2.01%. Food products went up by 1.29%, non-food - 1.46% and services - 0.74% within a month.
Monitoring revealed that a significant increase in food
commodities prices have seen for potato (28.13%), grapes (23.42%), cucumbers
(16.22%) and chicken eggs (8.25%). The growth among non-food is mainly observed
in the brick building (3.49%).
The decline in prices was observed on wheat flour (12.79%), lemons (9.735), bakeries products (6.65%) and pasta (3.9%), as well as building cement (2.64%).
In October, the minimum consumption basket for the working population,
according to NGOs amounted to AZN 109.84, for children under 15 years old - AZN
100.22 and for pensioners - AZN 81.61
