Azerbaijan Included into Best Stable Countries List: IMF Report

Azerbaijan, Baku, 11 November / Trend , corr. A.Badalova /"Under the report of the International Monitory Fund (IMF), Azerbaijan was included into the group of the best stable countries under the pressure of the global financial crisis, therefore the issue to reduce country's sovereign rating is not considered,"  Elman Rustamov, the chairman of the National Bank of Azerbaijan (NBA) Management Board, said at the plenary session of the Parliament  dedicated to the discussions of the state budget for 2009.

On 10 November, the Fitsh international rating agency reduced investments rating for 20 developing countries.

"Now, there is no fundamental or macroeconomic factors that the global financial crisis may effect Azerbaijan's economy," Rustamov said.

Rustamov said the international balance of payment for 2008 is expected with a dramatic proficient. While many countries face problems due to deficit of balance. "The international balance of payment is expected at over $10bln in 2009 even after cut of oil prices on world markets," Rustamov said.

"As a result of arrangements since 1990s on structural transformation creation of economic and financial potential enable to save Azerbaijan from crisis," Rustamov added.
