The European Union's executive was Wednesday set to unveil an economic recovery plan worth a higher-than-anticipated 200 billion euros (260 billion dollars) to help the 27-member bloc weather the recession, EU diplomats said.
The European Commission is expected to ask member states to commit 1.5 per cent of their gross domestic products in measures aimed at boosting consumption and investments, officials told Deutsche Presse-Agentur dpa.
