Ukrainian Government Cannot Approve Macro Figures in 2009 for Second Time

Ukraine, Kiev, 3 Dec / Trend corr, Z.Novosvitskiy/ The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers could not approve macro figures of 2009 public budget at a meeting on 3 Dec for the second time and decided to postpone consideration of this issue to a meeting to be held on 10 Dec, Bogdan Danilishin, the Minister of Economy told journalists.

"At present there are problems on coal ad metallurgical industry. Experts of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and other financial organizations are working on this matter. We are waiting for new reports of the State Committee, as well," Danilishin said.

According to Alexander Turchinov, the first Premier, it is necessary to get additional analysis of development of economic situation, as well as clear position of the National Bank of Ukraine in respect of exchange policy to approve new macro figures. It is difficult to forecast anything without having model of balance of payment and exchange position, Turchinov said.
