The director of Azerbaijani Rabitabank's Shaki Branch committed suicide in Shaki on Feb. 25.
Namig Musayev, 46, hung himself at his home on May 28th St. in Shaki, the Shaki Police Department said on Feb. 25.
The police officers found a letter written by the late director, Shaki Regional Prosecutor Rahib Seyidov said. He did not disclose the contents of the letter.
The case is under investigation.
Rabitabank has 18 branches. The Shaki Branch has functioned since Feb. 26, 2004.
Six branches function in different districts of Baku and 13 in the regions.
Rabitabank has branches in Baku, Sumgayit, Ganja, Lankaran, Shamakhi, Shaki, Kurdamir, Nakhchivan, Guba, Gusar, Khachmaz, Shamkir, Shirvan and Agjabadi.
Rabitabank has operated since 1993.
The bank's assets amounted to 94 million manats and capital - 15 million manat on Dec. 31.
The bank is a member of the Deposit Insurance Fund, National Entrepreneurship Support Fund and Mortgage Fund of Azerbaijan.
On Feb. 25, the official exchange rate is 0.8048 manat to $1.
