The State Veterinary Service under the Ministry of Agriculture of Azerbaijan will hold a second monitoring to prevent "swine flu" in the country in June, press secretary of the State Service Yolcu Khanveli said on May 25.
Monitoring will begin on June 1 and will last two weeks," said Khanveli.
Formerly monitoring was held in the pig farms in the country.
Previous monitoring took place in early May. 388 blood samples were collected for laboratory studies. None of them identified carriers of the virus A/H1N1.
Pig farms in the country are contained in Gabala, Zakatala, Sheki, Balakan, Ganja areas of Azerbaijan and in Baku.
Today a temporary ban on import of livestock products in Azerbaijan from the American and European continents is in force.
For the purpose of preventive measures on "swine flu" in the country, all pig farms transferred to indoor work, veterinary offices were strengthened in the regions.
