Azerbaijani-Belarus joint venture AzBeltractor plans to produce 1,000-1,200 tractors by late 2009. Founders of the joint venture are Ganja's car plant and Minsk tractor plant, Ganja's car plant director Khanlar Fatiyev said on June 4.
"Program of actions has been designed for next year and year and a half. Upon forecasts production of tractors will hit not less than 2,000 units per year next years," Minsk tractor plant director general Alexander Puhovoy said.
Tractors produced at joint venture will be exported to third parties. Talks with Turkish companies are being held to realize tractors in Turkish market, Fatiyev said.
Establishment of AzBeltractor promoted creation of 150-200 new jobs. The enterprise will operate after registration in state agencies.
Capacity of enterprise allows issuing 8,000 tractors per year. It is planned to assemble two models - Belarus 82.1 and Belarus 80.1, as well as production of 35-40 percent of accessories in local terms.
"We conduct analyses of market and decided to deal with support manning. So, spare parts warehouse of Minsk tractor plant on Ganja plant," Puhovoy said.
