Tender opened again to develop infrastructure at Poti port

Georgia Railway Office (GRO) once again opened international tender to perform additional construction to develop infrastructure of Poti port, the GRO said.

The tender was opened once again as winner of the tender Georgian Lozo-Invest did not comply with the contract and it was annulled as a result.

The tender composes one lot and envisages overhaul of six railway and turnout tracks. The work must be completed in six months.

Tender proposals and qualifying data must be presented till July 2.

Under tender conditions, the winner company will submit bank guarantee worth 5 percent of contract's cost.  

Free industry zone is being created in Poti and new sea port is scheduled to be built. Development of port's infrastructure is paid special attention.
