In May the index of consumer prices for agricultural commodities in Azerbaijan was 99.7 percent as compared to the previous month, 4.3 percent to the same period of the last year, State Statistics Committee reported on June 16.
Last month, the prices in plant growing, melon-growing and horticulture amounted to 98.9 percent as compared to April (96.2 percent to the same period of last year), grain plants and other plants belonging to this group - 98.3 percent (91 percent), vegetables, and melon-growing and specialized products seedlings - 99.3 percent (97.9 percent), fruits and nuts - 100 percent (13.2 percent).
The consumer price index in the field of live cattle and livestock products amounted to 0.4 percent as compared to April (8.2 percent during the same period of the last year), live sheep and goats and the products from them - 0.9 percent (34 percent), live poultry and chicken eggs - 98.9 percent (78.8 percent).
