Consumer rights are observed in 8 of 100 cases in Azerbaijan, head of union of free consumers Eyyub Huseynov said at a press-conference on July 16.

"Population regularly faces violation of consumer rights in all other cases," Huseynov said.

Most part of violations was fixed on strong drinks market, he said.

"This segment of market is leader on volume of violations as most part of strong drinks are sold without expiration date," Huseynov said.

According to head of the union, vodka can be kept less than a year, several kinds of vines - 6 months. These drinks become dangerous for health after expiry date as heavy metals and other harmful substances are accumulated in them.

According to Huseynov, soft drinks take the second place on level of violations. Violations reach 40 percent. Milk and milk products (50 percent) take the third place because structure of milk products is not natural. In most cases they are made of dried milk.
