Azerbaijani consumer market fined for $1 million

The State Service for Consumer Market Control under the Azerbaijani ministry of economic development withdrew 310 kilograms of expired products, the ministry said on September 3. These products include sausages, confectionary, vegetable oil, fish, milk, beer, soft drinks, and children's food.

The State Service for Consumer Market Control under the Azerbaijani ministry of economic development withdrew 310 kilograms of expired products, the ministry said on September 3.

These products include sausages, confectionary, vegetable oil, fish, milk, beer, soft drinks, and children's food.

These facts were revealed in Yasamal, Khatai, Nasimi regions, as well as Sumgait, Khachmaz and Ganja cities.

Protocols on administrative violations were designed towards 14 physical entities violating consumer rights. 

Roughly 46 legal entities were fined in the amount of 177,000 manat and 365 physical entities in the amount of 548,000 manat after Azerbaijani President's decree on changes and additions on the code of administrative violations dated May 17, 2009.

On September 3, the official exchange rate is 0.804 manat to $1.
