A two-day conference on introducing investment opportunities in Iran for potential Turkish investors opened on Monday in Istanbul.
The Iranian minister of Economic Affairs and Finance, his deputies, director of the Organization for Investment, Economic and Technical Assistance of Iran (OIETAI), Turkish Commerce Minister and the representatives of the Iranian private sector attended the conference, the Mehr News Agency reported.
Director of the OIETAI, Behrouz Alishiri said that investment opportunities in Iran, the business atmosphere here and the main policies of Article 44 of the Iranian Constitution regarding privatization of state owned companies were reviewed in the opening ceremony.
He said that Iranian and Turkish industrialists held talks on joint ventures and promoting economic cooperation in Iran.
IRNA news agency quoted Alishiri saying that 120 Iranian companies introduced investment opportunities in Iran.
Five specialized panels that were held in the conference included petrochemicals, oil and gas; processing industries and agriculture; textile and wood industry; heavy industry and mines; and tourism.
