An action plan was prepared in Azerbaijan within the financial services consumers protection program, implemented by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) with the support from the World Bank and the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), the first deputy chairman of the Central Bank Alim Guliyev said at the presentation on Dec. 17.
"The action plan will cover such economic sectors as banking, insurance, stock markets, and therefore requires coordinated work in all these spheres," Guliyev said.
According to the SECO representative, Philip Keller, Switzerland intends to continue supporting the program.
Azerbaijan is the first non-EU country, which began implementing such a program.
