Non-Life leads on Azerbaijani insurance market

In January-November 2009, considerable part of the Azerbaijani insurance companies' premiums on Life fell to insurance from accidental death - 453.81 thousand manat with payments 180.85 thousand manat, the Azerbaijani Finance Ministry reported

Premiums on endowment insurance totaled 389,390 manat with 231,040 manat of payments

Total amount on life insurance made up 843,200 manat with payments 411,890manat.

Majority of Non-Life insurance include: property insurance premiums hit 99.35 million manat with payments 22.44 million manats, private insurance - 24.109 million manat with 14.48 million manat of payment, including premiums from civil liability insurance - 26.76 million manat with 684.730 manat of payments, loan insurance - 622,610 manat with 303,820 manat of payment.

Total amount of premiums on other types of insurance was 123.46 million manat with share of 81.08 percent of all total insurance collections with payments - 36.92 million manat (79.2 percent). 

Majority of obligatory insurance included premiums from military insurance - 17.005 million manats with payment 7.94 million manat, as well as fire insurance - 3.32 million manat with 26,450 manat of payments, insurance of juridical and legal body employees- 3.41 million manat with over 618,730 manat payments, insurance of transport owners- 3.089 manat with payments-691,180 manat, insurance of MPs - 104,660 manat without payment and insurance of public servants -178,410 manat with 17,650 manat of payments.

Total amount of premiums on obligatory types of insurance made up 27.96 million manat with payments 9.3 million manat during the report period. 

In January-November, premiums of 28 Azerbaijani insurance companies made up 152.27 million manat with payments- 46.64 million manat.

On Dec. 30 the official exchange rate is 0.8031 manat to $1.
