Kapital Bank is at the top of five banks-leaders of exchange currency market in accordance with share of concluded deals in summary turnover of currency auctions at Baku inter-bank currency exchange in December, the exchange said.
Joint-stock commercial Pasha Bank, International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBAR), Bank Respublika and ASB joined the number of leading dealers of organized currency market.

About 23 banks participated in BBVB currency auctions in December 2009. About 42 trade sessions were conducted in Exchange E-Auction System in reporting month. About 79 deals were registered. Total volume of currency auction on USD/AZN hits 135,272,000 manat or $168,327,000 in December.
Total volume of auction in currency section increased 44.3 million manat or 26.32 percent compared to indices of November in this month.
Daily turnover in exchange E-system of auction on USD/AZN reached $8.016 million. Average volume of each deal hit $2.131 million.
Turnover of auction on EUR/AZN reached 22.16 million manat in reporting period. Average volume of each deal hits $1.1608 million manat.
Total sum of auctions hit 1.849 billion manat as a result of 2009. Aggregate amount of auction on dollar in Exchange E-Auction System hit 1.826 billion manat or $2.27 billion. Some of 990 deals were registered average volume of each deal hits $2.293 million
Turnover of auction on EUR/AZN reached 23.662 million manat or 20,448 million euro in 2009.
About 482 trade sessions were conducted in Exchange E-Auction System in reporting month and 36 banks participated in auction
Exchange rate of national currency USD/AZN_TOD decreased by 0.2 percent in December from 0.8026 to 0.8043 per $1. Average rate of dollar to manat hit 0.8036 manat per $1 in December compared to 0.8022 manat as a result of November 2009.
