Turkmenistan's GDP can exceed 15 percent in 2010

This year, the gross domestic product (GDP) at the current prices will exceed the expected level in 2009 by 15.2 percent, Turkmen Parliament's committee on economy and social policy said.

This year, the gross domestic product (GDP) at the current prices will exceed the expected level in 2009 by 15.2 percent, Turkmen Parliament's committee on economy and social policy said.  

It is assumed that this will be achieved through effective balanced development of all sectors of the economy.

Turkmenistan occupies a key position in the region for supplies of natural gas - importers of which are Russia, China, Iran. At the same time, the Caspian littoral state has set its ways to diversify its economy - in recent years, the oil and gas processing, textiles, tourism spheres have been developing.
