Turkmenistan plans to intensify privatizing share of enterprises

Turkmenistan is developing a package of proposals on holding further privatization in the country, privatizing the share of enterprises, official Turkmen source reported.

Turkmen President Gurbangulu Berdimuhammedov gave these instructions to heads of financial and economic sectors. It meets the updated Constitution, which includes articles on gradual transition to market relations.

Turkmenistan with a currency reserve filled at the expense of natural gas supplies targets general liberalization of economy, amid combining elements of market and state regulation, upgrade of agrarian sector and development of high-tech and export fields.

During the last meeting Berdimuhammedov said it is necessary to apply widely the experience of establishing joint ventures and using targeted loans for construction of modern production capacities and developing new fields.

"We should complete diversification of economy in the short timeframes and develop all fields in high speed. We must target to produce high quality products and to import them," Berdimuhammedov said.

The president particularly noted reforming the country's economy in an effort to realize projects on entering the international markets and its efficiency depends on conditions of market economy require from all leaders to have competent knowledge of financial system and mechanisms to regulate it - bases of the banking business.
