Georgian Finance Minister Kakha Baindurashvili is satisfied with construction work conducted in the free industrial zone located at Poti. Minister visited a free zone together with governor of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti and mayor of Poti.
Baindurashvili said that construction in the free industrial zone located at Poti is underway. He said that a customs terminal has been built. The construction of the rest infrastructure is underway.
Finance Minister noted that most work will be completed before the end of this fall.
Baindurashvili said that activity of the zone will contribute to the development of the economy. "The most modern and large terminal will be built on the Black Sea coast of Georgia. Construction work is underway. The construction of the checkpoint is practically completed," minister said.
Minister stressed that energy and gas supply has been provided in a free zone. "These work is under completion. I think that we will fulfill it in time," he said.
The opening of a free zone in Poti has been suspended twice. Originally this event was planned for July, then for August, but today it was postponed for September.
