The modernization project of Georgian railroad - "Rapid Railway - from Batumi to Tbilisi for three hours" was launched in the direction of Rikoti, "Georgian Railway" reported.
Railway track with length of 500 meters will be laid on Samtredi Kopitnari. The old wooden sleepers will be replaced by reinforced concrete structures.
Rikoti site is the most complex and important at the entire railroad.
"Georgian Railway" has given an order for 150 million lari ($ 1 = 1.83 lari) to factories and enterprises operating in Georgia to ensure construction.
