The media representatives visited the newly opened Masazyr salt plant which is produced under the trademarks "Bizim Duz" and "Azerduz", Azersun Holding, one of the co-founders of the plant, said.
According to the report, a media tour was organized to familiarize with the work of the plant.
The plant was commissioned on July 21, 2010 with the participation of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. Over 130 people are employed at the enterprise operating at high technologies.
Daily processing capacity is 100 tons. After the plant operates at full capacity, this figure will reach 300 tons.
The plant with capacity of 90,000 tons of high quality salt per year intends to turn Azerbaijan from a salt-importing country into an exporting country.
The main source of raw materials for the plant is Masazyr salt lake.
