Georgian authorities have detained a Russian ship "Kazan city" for the pollution of sea water in the Poti Port, the Georgian Border Police told Trend.
A large number of oil products was thrown off the vessel due to the crew's negligence.
The Poti Court has already ordered the Russian vessel to pay a fine of 65,000 lari to the Georgian state budget and 5,500 lari for causing damage to ecology.
Russian vessel will get a right of free swimming only after paying a fine. Now the vessel is in the Poti Port.
