The presentation of the Rakia Free Industrial Zone was organized by the British-Georgian Chamber of Commerce.
Georgian Finance Minister Kakha Baindurashvili held the presentation and introduced the business and economic climate to British business persons in London.
According to Baindurashvili the participants showed great interest in Georgia and particularly in the agricultural, industrial and chemical sectors.
"Based on this interest, we think that some companies will outsource their business to our free industrial zone," he added.
Satia Chater, the CEO of Rakia Free Industrial Zone, familiarised the businessmen with plans for the development of Poti. The Poti Free Industrial Zone is claimed to be very profitable for the businessmen as costs for gas and electricity are less in comparison to European
countries.
"The fact that the level of corruption in Georgia is almost at zero is
also important. We have the port, airport and highways," Chater added.
