Uzbek Airways has announced a tender to insure its aircrafts, the company told Trend on Monday.
The insurer will be determined for aircrafts produced in the West from June 15, 2011 to June14, 2012, and from July 12, 2011 to July 11, 2012 for aircrafts produced in Russia.
The tender is open to insurers licensed by the Uzbek Finance Ministry.
Bids are accepted until May 6.
At present, the insurer is the Ingo-Uzbekistan company.
Uzbekistan Airways is wholly owned by the state.The fleet includes 24 Western aircrafts, including 10 Boeings, three Airbus A310s, six Airbus A320s, three medium-RJ-85s, and two cargo A300-600Fs.
It carries out flights to 21 cities in Europe, the United States, the Middle East, and Asia and 22 cities in the CIS.
