Joint economic research program, developed by the World Bank (WB) in cooperation with the Azerbaijani Government will be approved by the second forum on long-term economic development, WB Baku office said on Friday.
"At present, a memorandum is under preparation, which will be concluded with the Central Bank, Finance Ministry and the government. The program will include various topics of interest. Therefore, it is important that this program was the basis for the Forum to be held in autumn this year," the office said.
The program covers three years. Distinct areas of research will be defined for each year. Under the program, recommendations will be given and decisions will be made to improve the economic situation in the country.
The program is important for the country and will give an impetus to ensuring institutional development and the non-oil sector's diversification.
