Iran imported over 1.86 million tons of rice last solar year and the UAE topped the rice exporters for Iran, ISNA reported.
According to the Iran's Customs Organization, Iran imported more than 1.86 million tons of rice worth $912 million last solar year. It was by 15.7 percent down in weight and 15 percent down in value.
The UAE exported 385,000 tons of rice worth $333 million, Pakistan 353,000 tons worth $277 million and India 282 tones worth $259 million. These countries were top three leading rice exporters for Iran in the last solar year.
